Mrs. Winnie S. Gregory, 81, Rt. 3, died Monday in a local hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Union County, March 27, 1889, and was the daughter of Laura E. Crain and William J. Suggs. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church and a life long resident of El Dorado. Survivors include her husband, Arthur R. Gregory, El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. Doyne Gaddy, El Dorado, and Mrs. Maudell Nash, Louann; five sisters, Mrs. N. C. Cutrer, Talco, Tex., Mrs. E. L. Wilhite, Sterlington, La., Mrs. J. E. Webb, Greenville, Miss, Mrs. G. J. Washington, Bay City, Tex., and Mrs. A. D. Jinks, Stephens; three grandsons, Ben G. Nash, Arkadelphia, James D. Nash, El Dorado, and William D. Gaddy, Little Rock; five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Freeman McMenis and the Rev. Hugh Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery under the direction of Young's. Pallbearers will be Doyne Horne, Jamie Horne, Perry Horne, Cecil Webb, Wilson Webb, Leon Smith, Vance Jinks and John Wilhite. The family will be at the Doyne Gaddy residence at 3201 E. Main St. (El Dorado Times - February 24, 1970)
