Priscilla Kelly Sample, age 58, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019.
She was born on May 31, 1961, in Geneva, Illinois, the daughter of Jimmy Willy Wagenmakers and Jantje H. Hulshof Wagenmakers.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Noesje Wagenmakers and her maternal grandparents, Geert and Katrina Hulshof.
She and Rick attended both the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene and Sunshine Nazarene in Pearcy, where she truly loved both of her church families. She enjoyed all types of flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds. Priscilla had a special way of being able to talk to anyone she might meet and whether she knew them or not, she would enjoy visiting with people, always making everyone feel important. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whom she dearly loved with all her heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Sample of Glenwood; her parents, Jimmy and Jantje Wagenmakers of West Chicago, Illinois; her son, Michael Fratto of Concord, California; her daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Mike Kodak of West Chicago, Illinois; six grandchildren, Lizzy, Abby, Chandler, Ceria, Carrie and Tyson; one great-granddaughter, Emma; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Melinda and Jay Reinbacher of Oswego, Illinois and Margery and Bobby Grist of Yorkville, Illinois; her sister-in-law, Sheila Joy Sample of Houston, Texas; four nieces, Samantha and Angela Reinbacher and Brittany and Kelly Grist; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 28, 2019, in the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Gerald Palmer, Bro. J. B. Evans and Bro. Phil Hull officiating.
Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
