Shirley Kirkindall, 81, died Friday, February 13, 2009 at her daughter's home in Holland. She was a member of North Tenth Street Baptist Church in Blytheville.

For many years, she worked alongside her husband, Bro. Paul Kirkindall, at Mississippi County Union Mission, which she and her husband founded.

Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Her three greatest joys in life were taking care of children, her husband, and the Mission.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; four brothers: Max Hill, Tommy Hill, Arthur Hill and Dee Hill; and one sister, Margaret Green.

Mrs. Kirkindall leaves one daughter, Sharon Brackin and her husband, Pete, of Holland; two granddaughters: Paul Keane and her husband Mike of Gosnell, Ark., Tabetha Bell and her husband Tommy of Decatur, Ala.; three step-grandchildren: Susan Spooler of Cape Girardeau, Mark Brackin of Cooter and Joe Brackin of Blytheville; three great-grandchildren: Hannah Pounds and Bailey Pounds of Gosnell and Cody Day of Holland; and one sister, Monetta Boyd of Greenway, Ark.

Graveside services for Mrs. Kirkindall were held Saturday, February 15, 2009 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville with Dr. Tommy J. Carney officiating.

Carney Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge of services.
