Ila Faye (Goodson) Reed, 87, of Mountain Pine, Arkansas, passed away peacefully February 1, 2018 at Village Springs Nursing Home. She was born September 12, 1930, in Little Texas, Arkansas, to Harold and Fannie (Moorehead) Goodson.
Ila Faye was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Buddie D. Reed; daughters, Marilyn Reed (infant), Janice Ward; and sisters, Ivy Mae Humphrey and Jettie Goodson.
Ila Faye will be forever remembered for her devoted love to family and selflessness for all others.
Survivors include sons, Jimmie Reed (Gracie) of Tampa, Florida, Harold Gene Reed (Melva) of Benton, Kevin Reed (Linda) of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Snooks Goodson (Nellie); and sister, Treva Goodson Smith.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
A celebration of Ila Faye’s life will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Muddy Creek Church of God in Story.
Burial will follow at Reed Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Clint Reed, Neil Ward, Bret Ward, Tanner Westpheling, Cameron Westpheling, and Gerald Westpheling.
