Connie Hinchman, 83, of Springmill died Friday, January 18, 2008 at his home.

He was born August 14, 1924 in Cushman, Arkansas the son of Burl Hinchman and Osa (Thomas) Hinchman.

He served in the Army in World War II and was in the Invasion of Normandy.

For 25 years, from May until October, he and his family traveled to Indiana to work the tomato harvest. He enjoyed hunting and beekeeping. He liked to smile and laugh.

He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Skinner of Spring Mill; three grandchildren, Brandy Fenn and Perry Skinner of Spring Mill, and Monica Churchwell of Jonesboro; nine great-grandchildren, Jonathan Petty, Eddie Pierce, Chance Skinner, Samantha Brush, Elonna Pierce, Colby McDonial, Skylar Skinner, Kylie Churchwell, and Brienna Skinner; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Hinchman; three brothers, John, Dale, and Truman Hinchman; and a sister, Florence Bell.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville officiated by Reverend Middleton Wootten and Kenny Tharp.

Pallbearers are Byron Skinner, Perry Skinner, Chance Skinner, Donnie Churchwell, Jerry Fenn, and David Riley. The honorary pallbearer is Eldon Skinner.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2008 at the funeral home.

Ruth A. Hinchman, 78, of Batesville passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at White River Medical Center.

She was born on September 24, 1927 in Newark and was the daughter of Charlie Tharp and Monnie (Lunsford) Tharp.

Ruth was a homemaker and took care of her family and taught them how to love. She was a member of the White Drive Baptist Church and read her Bible daily. She was very committed to God. In her younger years, she worked the tomato harvest in Indiana from start to finish. Ruth enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and The Price is Right.

She is survived by her husband, Connie Hinchman of Batesville and her daughter, Pamela Skinner also of Batesville. Ruth is also survived by her three grandchildren: Brandy Fenn, Perry Skinner and Monica Churchwell; and her eight great-grandchildren: Jonathan Petty, Chance Skinner, Eddie Pierce, Elonna Pierce, Samantha Brush, Colby McDonial, Skylar Skinner and Kylie Churchwell.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Tharp and one sister, Ruby Tharp.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel with Kenny Tharp officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman under the direction on Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. (870) 793-4161
