Batesville
James D Cargill, 73 of Batesville, a retired auto parts salesperson, died Thursday. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are his wife, Beatrice Darter Cargill; a daughter Cheryl Diane Garland of Batesville; two brothers, Troy and Billy Cargill of Batesville; five sister, Freda Sims of North Little Rock, Betty Westerfield of Bellevue, Neb., Jo Ann Burks of Little Rock and Clara Bufford and Jerrye Blevins of Batesville, and a grandson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the Harrison Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
