Finis Wood, 70, of Batesville, an employee of Batesville Water Utilities for 34 years, died Friday. Wood was a veteran of World War II and a member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post No. 114, Ruddell Hill Baptist church and American Water Works Association. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ruddell Hill Baptist church. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home.
Survivors are his wife, Opal Pitts Wood; two sons, Ivan Wood of Batesville and Bobby Wood of Rogers; two brothers, Alvis Wood and Arvil Wood, both of Batesville; four sisters. Mrs. Dellie McKinney, Mrs. Carnell McSpadden and Mrs. Susis Flinn, all of Batesville, and Mrs. Emogene Jones of Tuckernman, and four grandchildren.
