Carolyn Sue Magness Walker, “Memaw,” 73, of Norphlet, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in West Monroe, LA.

She was born August 12, 1945 to Fred Magness and Louise Johnson Magness in Dumas, AR. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Carolyn Sue was a loving mother with a heart of gold and an amazing “Memaw” to everyone. She fought a courageous battle and will always be our hero.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and a brother, Dinky Padgett.

Survivors include son, Jimmy Sherrill of Little Rock; her daughters, Susan Saulsbury (Chris) of El Dorado, Janet Coughenour (Robert) of Camden; grandchildren, Josh Sherrill (Leslie), Brandon Sherrill, Jesse Livingston (Megan), Summer Gorman (Brett), Cassandra Walters (Ray), Sierra Salmon (Dalton), Drew Coughenour, Erin Marques (Ricky) and Josh Coughenour (Brittany); great grandchildren, Cheyanne, Jase, Shylah, Ethan, Caleb, Bella, Ainsley, Makenzie, Brayleigh, Brian, Wyatt and Jasper; and her beloved pup and companion, Rosey.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Young’s Chapel with Terrell Raines officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Camden under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
