James Truitt Bullman, Sr., 88 of Stamps, AR passed away peacefully December 21, 2020 at The Waters in Stamps, AR. He was born May 22, 1932 in Carlsbad, NM to Justice and Daphne Bullman. He grew up in Aransas Pass, TX in a family of commercial fisherman and shrimpers. He spent his summers camping on Padre Island. He spent 5 years in the United States Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor and Norfolk, VA. He was married to Henrietta Estelle Pugh Bullman for 62 years. He enjoyed playing music with his siblings. He would show out on the piano, guitar, fiddle and banjo. He raised his family in Arizona where he was a printer by trade moving to the Dallas area in the 1990’s and to Camden, AR in 2002. He attended Pleasant Hill Assembly of God in Camden. His faith in God was strong. He was a kind, gentle soul. To know him was to love him.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Henry Bley Bullman; grandson, James Edward Bullman; two brothers, Jack and Billy Bullman. He is survived by his son, James T. Bullman, Jr. and wife, Dorothy of Stamps, AR; two granddaughters, Crystal Penick and husband, Mark of Stamps, AR and Kimberly Dukes and husband, Carl of Knoxville, TN; four great-grandchildren, Elijah Penick, Hannah Penick, Joshua Dukes and Callen Dukes; two sisters, Jean Roy of Oregon and Betty Prince and husband, Charles of Texas; host of nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 9:00-10:00AM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Proctor Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:00AM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
