August 30, 1898 - December 26, 1946
Services will be held tomorrow afternoon For Wiley J. Permenter, World War I veteran, who died yesterday morning at Kennedy General Hospital in Memphis. He was 48.
His death, at 8 o'clock, followed a lengthy illness from cancer. He was admitted to the hospital Dec. 13, after having been ill at his home on East Cherry street.
Services at Cobb Funeral Home, at 1 o'clock, will be followed by burial at Maple Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alma Permenter of St. Louis; a son, Lloyd Permenter of Blytheville; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Adams of St. Louis and Mrs. Gladys Guliland of Halls, Tenn., and four brothers, Clarence Permenter of Memphis, Murl Permenter of Oakland, Calif., Forrest Permenter of McAllister, Okla., and Ruffin Permenter of Jackson, Tenn.
Born Aug. 28, 1899 at Bells, Tenn., he long had resided in Blytheville.
