Ann Taylor Packer, 89, of Melbourne died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at Batesville. Born July 27, 1914, in Union County, she was the daughter of W.O. Taylor and Minnie Belle White Taylor. She served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Heber Springs Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, Glenn H. Packer; three brothers, James H. Taylor of Melbourne, Ira White Taylor of La Jolla, Calif., and Jack Taylor of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and three sisters, Idavonne Rosa and Billie Joe Tatum, both of Melbourne, and Sammy Taylor Denhoff of San Diego. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Harold Packer; and a brother, O.W. Taylor. The graveside service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Lone Star Cemetery with Doyne Robertson, Arnold Hearn and Lem Parks officiating with arrangements by Eddie’s Family Funeral Home of Melbourne. Pallbearers will be Angel Brummer, Lisa Tatum, Lori Tatum, Maury White Quo, Toby Tatum, Jamie Taylor, Tim Taylor, Jude Farar and Angela Southerland
