October 20, 1935 - July 3, 2020
Charles “Sonny” Lineberry, 84, of Magnolia passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at The Springs of Magnolia.
He was born on October 20, 1935 in Colvert, OK to the late Raymond Lineberry and Edna (Snow) Fontaine. Sonny worked overseas in the oilfield for many years and retired from Albemarle Corporation. He loved working in his yard and walking his dog, Flash.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bill Lineberry; great grandson, Zachary Wyrick; and two sisters, Wonda Troxell and Betty Spencer.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Lineberry of Magnolia; daughter, Tonya Murphy of Hot Springs; daughter-in-law, Barbara Lineberry of Taylor, two grandsons, Jason Lineberry and wife Candy of Benton, and Dakota Murphy and wife Destiny of Hot Springs; two granddaughters, Renee` Taylor of Waldo and Jennifer Lineberry Fort of Magnolia; 15 great grandchildren; a special companion, Flash; a brother, Don Lineberry and wife Jan of Denison, TX; a sister, Shiri Mullins of Durant, OK; and a host of extended family of nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2020 at Greer’s Chapel Cemetery with Dr. Eric Goble officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia. Viewing and signing of the guest book will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
