When Veatrice Blankenship was born on March 1, 1908, in Tennessee, her father, Joseph, was 31, and her mother, Lucy, was 37. She married Darrol Whitcomb McDearman on November 12, 1958, in Dell, Arkansas. She died on April 28, 2005, in Blytheville, Arkansas, at the age of 97, and was buried there.
