SPRINGDALE — Vester Earl Madewell, 80, of Springdale died Aug. 8, 2008, at his home. He was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Densmore to Henry and Ruthie Davidson Madewell. He attended Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Juanita "Tooter" Bowen Madewell of the home, to whom he was married Dec. 2, 1950; his children, Janice "Jan" Watson and husband Gary, Carl Madewell and wife Sherry, Bobby Madewell and wife Lynn, Jackie Madewell and wife Brandee and Byron Madewell, all of Springdale; one brother, F.D. Madewell of Hindsville; three sisters, Lorene Johnson of Huntsville, Donna Sue Freeman of Douglasville, Ga., Patty Freeman of Lowell; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale with the Rev. Donnie Villines and the Rev. Dale Kesner officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Westfield Chapel in Springdale, online at www.westfieldchapel.com.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Madewell, Tony Madewell, Justin Madewell, Chris Madewell, Carey Madewell and Jeff Watson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jama Tatum, Tracy Millsap, Fred Moore, Claude Moore, Alfred Madewell, Joe Tatum and Brian Spencer.
Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice.

Mary Juanita "Tooter" Madewell, age 85, of Springdale, died Wednesday, August 5th, 2020. Mary was born January 31, 1935, in Kingston Arkansas to Millage and Velma Bowen. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Vester Madewell; six siblings, Omer Bowen, Buck Bowen, Colene Tate, Paul Eugene Bowen, Ina Ross and Linda Fitzner. Mary is survived by her children, Janice "Jan" Watson and husband, Gary; Carl Madewell and wife, Sherry, Bobby Madewell and wife, Lynn, Jackie Madewell and Byron Madewell, all of Springdale; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Westfield Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 7th, 2020, Westfield Chapel Funeral Home 3236 W.
