Betty Irene Tribble Fraley resident of Augusta departed this life on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Woodruff County Health Center of McCrory at the age of 73. She was born on January 1, 1947 in Newport, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late William Robert and Nedra Elouise Thompson Tribble.
Ms. Betty was a 1966 graduate from the Arkansas School for the Deaf and was raised in the Beedeville Community. She married James Monroe Fraley who preceded her in death on May 12, 2008. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. Ms. Betty loved raising her grandchildren, playing games on the computer as well as communicating with friends. She enjoyed attending the Northeast Arkansas Association of the Deaf in Jonesboro, going shopping for the As Seen On TV deals.
Ms. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, William and Nedra Tribble, her husband, James Fraley, one brother, Billy Joe Tribble, two sisters, Mary Welch and Bertha Wells. She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Brooks and husband Bill of Augusta, one son, Andrew Fraley and wife Destinee of Augusta, two brothers, George Burnett and wife Peggy of Hickory Ridge, Johnny Tribble and Abbi of Hickory Ridge, three sisters, Ann Tribble of Newport, Barbara Scarbrough and husband Jerry of Jonesboro, Vicki Bobbitt of Jonesboro, four grandchildren, Tyler Yeager of McCrory, Joshua Yeager and wife Brittany of Augusta, Ashton Yeager of McCrory, Brenton Fraley of Augusta, one great-granddaughter, Amelia Yeager of Augusta, several half-brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas School for the Deaf 2400 W. Markham St. Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be George Burnett, Jerry Scarbrough, Johnny Tribble, Ashton Yeager, Joshua Yeager and Tyler Yeager.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 13th at the Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home with interment being in Calvary Cemetery of the Gourdneck Community.
