Maudie Mae Evans
Sherwood, AR, 1929 - 2016

Maudie Mae Evans, 86 of Sherwood, passed away May 22, 2016. She was born to Edgar and Maude Womack on September 26, 1929. She worked as an advisor for Arkansas State Retirement – Social Security Division where she retired in 1985. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed dearly.

Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Rowell; and four brothers. She is survived by her children, Richard and Diane Siders of Oklahoma, Peggy and Roy Harvey of Sherwood, David Siders of Conway; son in law, Bobby Rowell of Louisiana; two sisters, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Sylvan Hills Community Church.

Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.

Burial at Caney Springs Cemetery in Zion, Arkansas.

Note: this last name is spelled many many ways even within the same branches. Wommack, Womack, Wammack, Wamack other family members are buried within Caney Spring Cemetery. The name of the cemetery varies as well. Early mentions it is Caney Spring more modern times it is Caney Springs.
