Garrett Lee Sanders of Marshall passed from this life Saturday January 30, 2010 at the age of 12. He was born May 14, 1997.
Survived by his parents: Pastor Gary L. and Tonya (Duncan) Sanders, one brother Heath Sanders and one sister Talisa Sanders of Marshall. Grandparents Bennie and Jackie Sanders of Marshall, Nina Duncan of Clinton. Uncles: Ricky L. Duncan and wife Elishia of Clinton. Jim Duncan and wife Teresa of Danville, AR. Jackie Lee Sanders of Marshall, and Bobby Duncan of Clinton, one aunt Patty Brewton of Marshall. His loving Church family The First Pentecostal Church of Marshall, and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by his grandfather James M. Duncan of Clinton, Arkansas.
Garrett was a proficient home school student. He was very active in his church. He played the drums, bass guitar and piano. He was a very gifted musician.
He loved the preaching of the word of God, and his church family.
His hobbies were playing music, hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers. He also loved horses, and dogs, especially his new puppy (Tasha).
He lived life to the fullest. Garrett was greatly loved by those he came in contact with. He loved people, no matter who, or what they were, and he is going to leave a big void in our hearts, but his memory will live on in our hearts.
Visitation will be 6…8 P.M. Tuesday .
Garrett's funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday Feb. 03, 2010 in Roller Coffman Chapel with Rev.Larry McDonald, Rev. Bob Houghton, Rev. Wayne Bellow, Rev. Louis Sanders and Heath Sanders officiating.
Pallbearers: Eric Pinson, Jesse Hinchey, Cody Hinchey, Cody Leach, Jason Nipp, and Matt Pinson.
Honorary Pallbearers: Meagan Pinson, Chris Pinson, Ashlie Sheppard, Chase Leach, Dylan Pinson, Kayla Chisum and Trevor Horton.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens.
