April 13, 1951 - June 23, 2020
Carolyn Gail (Jeffries) Stewart, 69, of Batesville passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.
She was born on April 13, 1951 in Batesville, Arkansas to Herbert Serville Jeffries and Rosetta (Nichols) Jeffries.
Carolyn was the love of Acie's life; she was a very loving person who enjoyed being around people and giving to others; she was very passionate about the Independence County Humane Society where they gave generously to, as well as foster parented eight dogs. She was a Batesville High School graduate of the class of 1969. She worked 20 years for the Army/Air Force Exchange (PX); since retiring her passion was shopping, she loved traveling with her husband and playing Bingo with her girlfriends.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Acie Stewart of the home; one son, Cordell Acie Stewart (Kari) of Chapman, Kansas; one grandchild, Skylar Dane Stewart of Denver, Colorado; and one brother, Garry L. Jeffries of Mayflower, Arkansas; special sister in law, Betty Jones; and special friend, Kay Birdsong, who was like a sister to her both of Batesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Serville Jeffries.
Graveside services will begin at 10:00 am Monday, June 29, 2020 at Melbourne Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Roger Hopper officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 pm Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
Memorials may be made to Independence County Humane Society, 5 Environmental Drive, Batesville, AR 72501.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering and social distancing will be observed.
