Willodean Roten, age 91 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, April 04, 2012 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Campbell, Arkansas on June 21, 1920 to C.B. (Kay) Fendley and Florence (Sutterfield) Fendley.
Dean and her husband Earl started the Roten Furniture Store in 1947. When Earl passed away in 1988, Dean's son Bob and wife Rose took over management of the store. Dean would come down to the store everyday where she would greet and visit with the customers.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Robert E. (Earl) Roten; four brothers, Claude, Bud, Bob and Garney Fendley; six sisters, Thelma Rushing, Ethel Morrison, Nell Morrison, Edna Simmons, Grace Rogers and Joyce (Sunny) Kuykendall.
Survivors include one son, Robert E. (Bob) Roten Jr. and wife Rose of Marshall; one daughter, Judy Baker and husband Ben, also of Marshall; two grandchildren, Mitzi Anthony and husband Rick of Conway and Benjamin Baker of Oklahoma City, OK; two great grandchildren, Eric and Nathan Anthony, both of Conway; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family who will also mourn her passing.
Services for Willodean Roten will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 06, 2012 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. James Horton and Bro. Sean Miliken officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Chase, David Mainord and all other employees at Roten Furniture Company in Marshall, Arkansas.
