James Gill, 70, of Magnolia, AR. passed away December 25th at his home.

He was born September 26, 1946 in Waldo, AR. to Rev. Frank Gill and Ester Martin-Gill

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Shirley Gill, one brother; Samuel Gill, and a grandson; Tyrell Sanders.

He joined the New Bethel A.M.E. Church at an early age, graduated from Westside High School in 1965, was employed by Montgomery Construction Company for several years and other construction companies around the Magnolia area until his health failed. James was a man of many talents during his career in the construction industry, but his specialty was finishing concrete. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He survived by; two daughters; Ms. Sebrena Gill of Magnolia, AR. and Mrs. Lacie Gill-Moore & husband David of Palestine, TX. Three sons; Antonio Gill & wife Brittany of Palestine, TX., James R. Gill, and Stefan Jones both of Magnolia, AR. Three brothers; O.C. Smith & wife Eva, David Gill & wife Mary, Joseph Gill & wife Kathy all of Dallas, TX. Two sisters; Mrs. Rebecca Loudermilk of Dallas, TX., Mrs. Bobbie Thomas & husband Chester of Los Angeles, CA. Four grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Homegoing celebration will be held Friday, December 30th, at 1:00 p.m. at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia, AR., with burial to follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Waldo, AR. Under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home of Magnolia, AR. Officiating will be Superintendent James Turner.

Visitation: Thursday 12 Noon till 4: p.m. at the funeral home and
the body will lie in state Saturday till service only.
