Helen Marie Watson was born on October 30, 1946 in Rosston, AR to the late Lee Ingram and Essie V. Smith. She joined hands in marriage with the late L.C. Watson on September 29, 1964. To this union, four children were born, with a child prior to the marriage .

Helen attended school at Westside in Waldo, AR. She became a member of Church of Christ at an early age. She was a homemaker and enjoyed talking on the telephone to friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, step-father: Curtis Smith; sister: Linda Warren and brother: Lyndon Warren.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Mother: Essie V. Smith of Waldo, AR; three sons: Vernon Shaw and Anthony Watson both of Waldo, AR and Marcus Watson of Minden, LA; two daughters: Vickie Watson of El Dorado, AR and Marilyn (Jackie) Curry of Waldo, AR; two stepsons: Paul Messer of Waldo, AR and Carl Watson of Battle Creek, MI; two stepdaughters: Linda Watson and Carloyn (Hal) Prevoe both of Waldo, AR; six brothers: Calvin (Mary) Smith, Don E. Smith, Kenneth (Wanda) Smith, Earnest (Dorothy) Standoak all of Waldo, AR; Gerard (Cheryl) Smith of Magnolia, AR and Otis (Sonya) Standoak of Rosston, AR; one sister: Verna Dean (Jackie) Smith; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
