Mr. Lawrence E. Gilbert, 69 yrs. old, of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed Friday morning, October 9th, 2020, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lawrence Edward Gilbert was born January 5th, 1951 in Magnolia, Arkansas, to the late Ossie Mae and Willie Gilbert.
Lawrence attended Columbia High School in Magnolia, Arkansas, and was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Buckner, Arkansas.
Lawrence worked in the logging business for many years and was an incredibly good friend to all that knew him. He was mostly known for his ability to make people laugh and he never met a stranger.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Elena Steward, Willie Mae Gilbert, and Norene Cooper: five brothers, J.Y. Cooper, Jr., L.B. Cooper, James Gilbert, John L. Gilbert, and Richard Gilbert.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving daughter and son, Shermaine Burton of Waldo, Arkansas, and Jermaine Burton (Crystal) of Magnolia, Arkansas; one sister, Eria Mae (Franklin) Broomfield; six grandsons, Tyvian Witcher, Ge’Tarrius, Ke’Marion, Ge’Mauri Burton all of Waldo, Arkansas, Tra’Maine and Ty’Kedrious Burton both of Mangolia, Arkansas; three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Graveside Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, October 16th, 2020, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Waldo, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m., under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Pastor Joyce Easter eulogist.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, “Everyone Is Required To Wear A Mask While Attending The Services And During Visitation Hours”. This ensures safety for you and others. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 15th, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
