SPRINGDALE — Glen Stanford Norris, 84, of Springdale died Feb. 28, 2007, at Westwood Health and Rehab. He was born April 28, 1922, in Boone, N.C., to Will Eugene and Carrie Belle Phillips Norris. He was a retired commercial plumber. He was a member of Silver Tones Gospel Group and attended Elmdale Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Glory Bound Singers and Adult Sunday school class. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Norris of the home, to whom he was married Dec. 2, 2001; two sons, Gwynn Norris of Wichita, Kan., and Garry Lee Norris of Arizona; two stepsons, Kenneth Mike Imes and Donald Ray Imes, both of Springdale; three daughters, Kim Norris of Springdale, Lynne McKinney of Blue Springs, Mo., and Sherry Hardcastle of Houston, Texas; one stepdaughter, Susan Imes Yell of Fayetteville; one brother, James Norris of Hawaii; two sisters, Lois Crouse of Cypress, Calif., and Margaret Stall of Naples, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Tom Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Don Hardcastle, Devin Imes, Tim Nelson, Kevin Pendergraft, Wally Venters and Garlen Yell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Holcomb, Men's Adult Seven Sunday school class.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, Western Arkansas Chapter 320, Greenwood Ave., Fort Smith, 72901.
