Trillus Nadine Boyd has passed on from this world to be with her husband Floyd Bert Boyd in heaven on January 1, 2019.

Trillus was born to Odus and Lillie Watts on August 11, 1934, in Dennard, Arkansas.

She had six brothers and sisters Vernon Watts, Russell Watts, Arnold Watts, Wilburn Watts, Sarepta Lewis and Mary Jo Watts who have already gone to be with our Lord.

She has one surviving sister Gereta Daniels who lives in Clinton, Arkansas. Trillus and Floyd were married 58 years and have three surviving children; Pamela Ball who lives in North Little Rock, Stacy Harmon who lives in Bee Branch, Arkansas, and Bryan Boyd who lives in Liberty, Missouri. She is also survived by her special friends, Mary, Dee and Evelyn at Amberwood.

Trillus has two grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Harmon.

Trillus graduated from high school in California and was a telephone switchboard operator for a few years while Floyd was in the Navy. They moved several places around the country for awhile with Floyd’s work, but always managed to find a church home, finally settling in Little Rock in 1970. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock for 35 years before they moved to Clinton, Arkansas, and became members of the First Baptist Church of Clinton for 9 years before moving back to Little Rock in 2015.

Trillus loved to be with people and taught Sunday School in the youth department for many years before her and Floyd moved to the preschool area to teach for several more years until becoming door greeters at both of the churches they attended. Trillus was a wonderful cook until the Food Network came on cable TV in the 2000’s and then Floyd complained that he missed her real home cooking. Trillus loved people and worked at JC Penney in retail for 5 years before finding her career path in Administration at Arkansas Children’s Hospital for 27 years. She loved meeting and greeting all the patients and families that entered the hospital and new each one by name when they came often. Trillus had a knack for finding out about everyone’s life history in just a short time frame because of her southern charm and smile. She could remember all that information before computers were a thing.

Mom will be missed by all whose lives she touched and especially opened up her warm personality and southern charm to. I am sure by now she is giving Dad some chores to do in heaven since she hasn’t seen him in a while. We will miss you mom and all the wonderful things you did for us growing up to become the adults you would want us to be.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Baptist Hospice for excellent care and compassion. Also, the family wishes to thank the staff and the residents at Amberwood Nursing and Rehab in Benton, you were all like family to her.
