Shirley Mae Roten Chalk was born December 25, 1940 to Ray and Thelma Bellinger Roten in Rocky Hill, Arkansas and passed away February 18, 2020. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton, Arkansas. She kept the church nursery for 20 plus years.
Shirley is preceded in death by her adoring grandparents Coy and Dora Michael Roten and Victoria Forrester Bellinger, her parents, two beloved brothers-in-law, Tony Moreno and Don Clark, one great grandson, Mylo Olmstead.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, L.C. Chalk; three daughters, Delana (Lynn), Debi and D.K. (Larry); 5 grandchildren, Derek (Tiffany), Blake, Kayla (Josh), Tamera (John) and Justin (Josey); 12 great grandchildren, Kaity, Brier, Aniston, Henzley, Maddie, Jocelynn, Jacen, Ty, Aidan, Sage, Savannah and Carly; two sisters, Wanda Roten Moreno of Dallas, Texas, Nancy Roten Clark of Irving, Texas; four very special friends, Barbara Chalk, Gladys Maxwell, Dosky Russell and Edith Dunn and a wonderful host of cousins, friends, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Clinton Funeral Service. Service will be Saturday, February 22, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Clinton with Brother Faron officiating.
