Freddy Parliment, age 59, of Mount Ida, died Friday, February 15, 2013.

He was born on February 16, 1953, at Hot Springs, the son of Eugene Farris Parliment and Sylvia Blocker Parliment. He was preceded in death by his mother.

A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting; and he always loved to cook and entertain his family and friends. He attended the Prairie Grove Church of God in Story.

He is survived by his son, Neil Parliment of Royal; his father, Eugene Parliment of Mount Ida; two brothers, Charles Parliment of Little Rock and Carl J. Parliment of Mount Ida; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

The family will hold a memorial service at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 23, 2013, in the Prairie Grove Church of God in Story with Bro. Ed Depriest officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
