Odell D. Gaston, age 75, of Hot Springs, died Sunday, July 5, 2009. He was born on February 22, 1934, at Mount Ida, the son of Guilford Gaston and Elsie Lawson Gaston. On June 30, 1956, he was married to Lanora Qualls. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Evelyn Nichols and Voila Gilstrap. He attended First Pentecostal Church of God in Hot Springs. He is survived by his wife, Lanora Gaston of Hot Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Odean and Susan Gaston of Costa Mesa, California; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Reed Cemetery in Story with Rev. Kenneth Pack officiating, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Honorary pallbearers will be First Pentecostal Church of God and the Conventional Gospel Singers.
