Patsy Ruth Bohrer Genn, 72, of Magnolia, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 6, 2010.
She was born April 7, 1938 in El Dorado, Arkansas. She retired from First National Bank (now BancorpSouth) after many years of service.
Pat was a devoted Christian and a member of Bethel Church. She was also a member of the Columbia County Republican Committee and the Topps Support Group.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lester Adams.
Pat is survived by her 97-year-old mother, Vala B. Newton of Magnolia; daughter, Valerie Bohrer Boston and her husband Alan of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; son, Brian L. Bohrer and his wife Kimberly of Washington, Missouri; five grandchildren, Russell and Summer Priske of Pacific, Missouri, Lacey Luster of Bentonville, Arkansas, Drew Bohrer of Washington, Missouri, Jessica Bohrer Siem and Ryal of Benton, Louisiana, John Bohrer of Springfield, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Lilliana and Kaelleb Priske of Pacific, Missouri; sisters, Ann Broach of Hampton, Arkansas, Gail and Cleon Silence of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Brenda and Kenneth Thompson, Sarah and David Rich of Magnolia, Arkansas; brothers, Don and Leann Newton of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Sam and Reba Newton of Maumelle, Arkansas, William T. Newton, Bob Newton, and Dan Newton of Magnolia, Arkansas; one stepbrother, Gary Adams of Kansas; two stepsisters, Wanda Adams of Kansas and Sharon Mann of Virginia; and a special friend Bob Flaherty of Magnolia, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Bohrer, Rev. Russell Priske, and Pastor Barry Nall officiating. Burial will follow at Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Hampton, Arkansas on Little Bay Road at 12:30 p.m. under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
A family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be William Newton, Don Newton, Sam Newton, Kenneth Thompson, David Rich, and Alan Boston.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Ray Thompson, Kaelleb Priske, Ryal Siem, Jim Bob Rich, Bob Newton, Danny Newton, Drew Bohrer, and Jonathan Bohrer.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bethel Church in Magnolia or Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, Arkansas 71730.
