When Dora Mae Rees was born on December 21, 1908, her father, Edward, was 36, and her mother, Iva, was 35. She married in 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She had four children during her marriage. She died on January 19, 2006, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, at the age of 97, and was buried in Blytheville, Arkansas.
