Lee Campbell Watson, son of the late Myrtle Hubert Watson and Eva Faye Campbell Watson, was born March 17, 1940 in Melbourne, Arkansas. He departed this life on February 28, 2020 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 11 days.

He was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Brown on June 9, 1961 and together they raised four children.

Lee spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. He had a strong bond with his family, especially his brother Don Wayburn Watson. He was employed by the Arkansas State Highway Department, retiring after 30 plus years of employment. After attending auctioneer school in 1984, along with his son Tony, he launched Watson & Watson Auction Service. Lee was a trader. He loved buying, selling and trading almost everything, including tractors, horses and cattle. He was of the Church of Christ faith and a member of Melbourne Church of Christ.

Lee is survived by his wife of 58 years: Sharon Watson of the home; four children: Michelle Smith of Melbourne, Jamie Kimes and husband Randy of Harrison, Tony Watson and wife Patty of Melbourne and Brandi Watson of Springdale; seven grandchildren: Nikki Smith, Jessy Smith, Kori Kimes, Karlea Newberry, Colt Montgomery, Logan Holladay, Bailey Everett, Levi Watson; sixteen great grandchildren: Emma Jones, Coby and Jude Everett, Charli, Grady and Sunnie Smith, Kaybri, Klaysi and Kesli “Peaches” Kimes, Grey and baby boy Newberry, Hadli Sartin, Harlin, Raylin, Annalin, Gatlin Holladay; one sister-in-law: Barbara Watson of Melbourne; aunt: Waunice Barnwell and first cousin: Beverly Walker both of Lone Star, Texas; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and brother.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 1 from 6-8 p.m. at the Melbourne Church of Christ. Funeral service will be Monday, March 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Melbourne Church of Christ with Ryan Lloyd and Chuck Crow officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Combs Cemetery, C/O Sandra Smith, 187 Sand Hollow Road, Melbourne, Arkansas 72556.

Pallbearers: Jessy Smith, Kori Kimes, Levi Watson, Mike Watson, Charles Everett, Barry Hutson.
