Dbl stone w/Johnnie E. Dixon
Mrs. Mattie Jeanette Jones Dixon, resident of Fortville, Indiana and former resident of McCrory and the Woodruff County area, died Thursday, April 10, 2003. She was 86 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Chapel in McCrory with Mr. Homer Kennon, officiating. Interment was in Eight Mile Cemetery, Beedeville, Arkansas.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by three sons: Doyle Dixon of Linwood, Ill., Kenneth Dixon of Fair Oaks, and Johnny Dixon of Hickory Ridge; two daughters: Vivian Young of Fortville, Ind. and Linda Vickery of Cordova, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by two sons, Lee Dixon and Bobby Dixon.
