Mary Ann Dabbs Youngblood

Mrs. Mary Ann Dabbs Youngblood, 77, of Searcy, died Friday, December 7, 2018, at White County Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1941, in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of William Clinton and Maude Alice Thomas Dabbs. She graduated from Beedeville High School in 1959. She attended Harding College and graduated from Memphis School of Cosmotology. She married Mr. Raymond Youngblood on November 21, 1965, and they were married for twenty-two years.
Mrs. Youngblood operated her own beauty shop in Beedeville in 1967-1968. She worked in the fabric department at Walmart for many years. she later had a machine quilting business. She enjoyed working with plants and became a Master Gardener. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, entertaining, and traveling. She took several cruises, including trips through the Panama Canal and Alaska. Mrs. Youngblood was a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ where she participated in Monday Night for the Master. She kept in touch with friends scattered across the United States, and she loved to organize outings for a group of special friends from church.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one brother, Larry Dabbs and wife, Connie, of Beedeville; two nephews, Steven Dabbs and wife, Holly, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Nathan Dabbs and wife, Anna, of Paragould; and three great-nephews, Carter, Clancy, and Calvin Dabbs; and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018, at the Beedeville Church of Christ with Mr. Karl McLarty officiating. Interment will be in Eight Mile Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Steven Dabbs, Nathan Dabbs, Bart Gaskin, Hervey Madden, Dan Thomas, and Carl Woodham.
