Mr. Eddie Dale Honey, 41 of McCrory, died Wednesday, April 10,
2002 in Searcy.
He was born May 8, 1960, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Billy Steve and Etta Mae (Berry) Honey. Mr. Honey married Miss Fonda
Breckenridge on Aug. 22, 1987.
He worked for Helena Chemical Company as a Certified Crop Advisor and was a member of the Beedeville Church of Christ. Mr. Honey was in
the National Guard from 1980 to 1986. He was a model train fan; Mr. Honey had a love for toys especially remote control trains, boats, cars.
His greatest joy was coaching his daughter, Kyndale's basketball team and watching her participate in softball. Mr. Honey enjoyed baseball, basketball, and football. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Mr. Honey was preceded in death by his mother, Etta Mae (Berry) Honey on Feb. 27, 1999; one brother, Oscar Honey and one sister, Cynthia
"Cyndi" Beth Haskett on May 20, 2001.
Mr. Honey is survived by his wife of 14 years, Fonda (Breckenridge) Honey of McCrory; three daughters, Katrina Lawman Alumbaugh and husband, Aaron of McCrory, Shonda Lawman Mullinax and
husband, Justin of McCrory and Kyndale Elesin Honey of McCrory; his father and stepmother, Billy Steve and Glenda Kaye (Tyree) Honey of
Tupelo; one brother, Gary Todd Honey of McCrory; one sister, Jeannie (Honey) Gaskin and husband, Dale of McCrory; one step-sister, Kim Marshall and husband, Craig of Jonesboro; one grandson, Zeke Alumbaugh; one brother-in-law, Louis Haskett; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and
Ann (Williams) Breckenridge of Beedeville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Houston and Sherry Breckenridge of Beedeville and Cheryl and Chad O'Dell of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews, Brandy Gaskin, Mandy Gaskin, Bobbie Jean Gates, Sara Beth Gates, Kayla Meagan Brooke Gates, Baylee
Breckenridge, Ragen Breckenridge, Hayden Ann Breckenridge, Cody O'Dell, Colton O'Dell, Taylor Shadwick, Mallory Shadwick, and Colton Shadwick.
Funeral service was 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beedeville Church of Christ with Mr. Gary Elliott and Mr. Norman Madden officiating.
Interment was in Eight-Mile Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tony Holder, Tony Madden, Greg Polston, Paul Baty, Jamey Carlton, and Paul Hanley.
Arrangements by Jackson's Newport Funeral Home.
