Mrs. Dorothy Jean Bigham, resident of Memphis, TN, died suddenly Wednesday, June 27, 2012. She was 74 years of age.

The family will receive friends in the Special Events Room at Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Road, Cordova, TN from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2012. The visitation in McCrory, Arkansas is scheduled for Friday morning form 9:30 to 10:30 a.n. followed by the funeral service at 10:30 all at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in McCrory. Interment will be in Eight Mile Cemetery. Thompson-Wilson Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. 870-731-2551

Mrs. Bigham was born in Grand Junction, TN on September 25, 1937, to Frank James and Rena Breedlove Yager. She attended LaGrange, TN schools as well as one year of business school. At one time when she lived in the McCrory area, she was employed by the Woodruff County Nursing Home as an ambassador. She also was a medical office manager for several doctors before her retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing for her family and knitting. She attended Faith Baptist Church in McCrory and after moving to Tennessee she attended Bartlett Baptist Church. A very devout lady, she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Homer J. Bigham of Memphis, TN, son: Jeff Moser (Susan), daughter: Melony Duggin (Andy), sister: Evelyn Jefferson of Bartlett, TN, Grandchildren: Casey Duggin (Financee` Derrick Porter), Joseph Moser, Samuel Moser, Justin Moser all of Bartlett, TN, and Ashley Duggin Beigle (David) of Leachville, AR. Mrs. Bigham was preceded in death by her first husband, Marine Staff Sgt David Moser and brothers Frank Yager, Jr. and Charles Yager.
