Ruth Edna Barber, 81, of Blytheville, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007 at her home.
Born April 20, 1926 in Roselle, she is the daughter of the late James Arthur and Anna Mae Elizabeth Blankenship Oelsen.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Barber; one son, Robert Gene Barber; and two sisters, Mildred Collins and Florence Jones.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Mrs. Barber leaves her children: Timmy Barber, Jimmy Dickerson, Ann Maupin, and Vicki Cain, all of Blytheville, and Wayne Barber and Barry Lee Barber of Steele; One brother, Tom Oelsen, of Salem; Three sisters: Anita Dickerson of Summerville, Ga., Irene Neier of Memphis, Tenn., and Olga Teller of St. Louis; and Eighteen grandchildren and many great-and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barber were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Mitchell King Jr., officiating.
Burial was at the Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
