Mr. Mark Courtright, 55, of Blytheville, AR., departed this life, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mark was a devoted Christian and member of North Tenth St. Baptist Church. He was born in Fairfield, IL., and relocated to Blytheville, AR., where he married Deborah Smith on August 11, 1988. The two combined each of their two children, had a fifth, and molded them into a unique and amazing family.

Mark gave 23 years of service to Nucor Yamato, loved his St. Louis Cardinals and his Harley motorcycle. You may have even seen him riding around town last Wednesday. However, Mark should be remembered for his greatest accomplishment, which was crafting a wonderful life for everyone he loved. Mark could not have been a more dedicated and selfless husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lynn Smith Courtright; daughters, Angel Whitehead and husband, Len and Bridget Courtright-Avery; sons, Justin Pay and wife, Christina and Joey Courtright, all of Blytheville, AR and Dustin Courtright and wife, Katie of Little Rock, AR; eight wonderful grandchildren; parents, J.B. and Ada Darlene Courtright, of Geff, IL; brother, Greg Courtright and wife, Pam of Monticello, IL; brother in law, Michael John Smith and mother in law, Betty Jo Winchester.

Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Lynda Courtright, and a nephew, Nathan Courtright.

A celebration of his life was held in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.Funeral arrangements were by Cobb Funeral Home.

Deborah was born to Betty Jo (Shultz) Winchester and Captain John Smith, on Aug. 2, 1954, in Blytheville, AR. She was a devoted Christian, amazing mother, and wonderful wife. Deborah’s greatest accomplishment is the family that she created with her husband, Mark. She was a devoted mother that gave an abundance of love to all of her children, and a proud grandmother of seven grandchildren. She loved to read and play games with her grandchildren, and loved to spend time with her family. Deborah’s life will forever be cherished by all that knew her.

She is survived by daughters Angel Whitehead (Len) and Bridget Courtright-Avery; sons Justin Pay (Gabby), Joey Courtright, all of Blytheville, and Dustin Courtright (Katie) of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; mother, Betty Jo Winchester of Blytheville; brother, Michael John Smith of Blytheville; sister in law, Donna Smith; nephews, Ryan and Jacob Smith of Riverview, Florida; sister in law, Donna Smith of Balm, Florida; brother in law, Gregory Courtright (Pam) of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Courtright; father, Captain John Smith; brother, Ricky Smith; special son, Rodney Alexander.

A Celebration of Deborah’s life will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with officiating by Reverend Gregory Courtright. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.
