Services for Marvin Ervin Christian, who resided at the Blytheville Air Base, were conducted at 11 a.m. today at the Gosnell Baptist Church by the Rev. Carl Castleman.
Mr. Christian, who was 40, died Saturday night at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis following a two-year illness. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery with Cobb Funeral Home in charge.
Born at Fulton, Miss., Mr. Christian had resided here for two and one-half years. He was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Christian; two sons, Arvil and Wayne Christian; two daughters, Delois and Hazel Christian; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Christian of the air base; five sisters, Mrs. Mavis Sandlin of Nettleton, Miss., Mrs. Lola Wallace of Kenoka, Ill., Mrs. Verna Mosley of Memphis, Mrs. Fay Grimes of Columbus, Ga., and Miss Dorothy Christian of Zion, Ill.; and seven brothers, Melvin, Trelvie, Kelvie and Marcus Christian, all of Zion, Ill., Arlis Christian of Dorsey, Miss., Thomas Christian on duty with the Navy, and Bobby Christian of Gosnell.
