Charles Hugh Williams, 76. of Hampton, formerly of Fordyce, died Tuesday April 22, 2008 at his home. Mr. Williams was born in Fordyce, AR on March 26, 1932 to the late Virgil A. & Verna M. Wood Williams. He was a member of the Victory Assembly of God Church in Camden, and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janett M Ables Williams; two sons, Chuck Williams of Hampton, AR, Roger Williams & his wife Melanie of Locust Bayou, AR; two daughters, Judy Rogers of Houston, TX, Linda Harrell & husband Carl of Little Rock, AR; seven grandchildren, Amber & Ross Rogers of Houston, TX, Mike Harrell & his wife Monica of Little Rock, AR, Ryan Harrell of Little Rock, AR, Brittany Williams of Locust Bayou, AR; & one great grandchild, Aidan Harrell of Little Rock, AR. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday April 25, 2008 at the First Assembly of God Church in Hampton. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Ables, Rev. Stephen Willis, & Rev. William Willis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home in Hampton. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
