ARKADELPHIA — Louise Devers, 75, of Texarkana, formerly of Arkadelphia, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at St. Michaels Health Care Center in Texarkana.
She was born Dec. 14, 1932, in Gun Town, Miss., the daughter of the late Archie Cleander and Fannie Irene Blackwell Rider. She was a former receptionist for the Randall Corp., a member of Home Extension Club, a Mary Kay associate, and a member of New Life Church in Arkadelphia.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Thurman Earl Jones and Robert Chester Devers, and one brother, Allen Rider.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Jones of Texarkana, Ark., and the Rev. Martin Jones of Arkadelphia; two sisters, Juanita Rider of Lapanto, and Vera Peters of Concord, N.C.; three brothers, Maurice Rider of Lapanto, Harvey Rider of Fullerton, Calif., and Travis Rider of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren and two-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at New Life church, with Pastor Steve Willingham and the Rev. David Smith officiating.
Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville by Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
