Ocil Elon Rowbotham, 96, of Hagarville died Friday, March 16.

Born May 7, 1915, in Little Piney, he was the son of the late Brummet Homer and Lula Mildred Adkins Rowbotham, a WWII Navy veteran who served on the U.S.S. Hocking, preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Daisy Mae McCarley Rowbotham; and brother, Chester Homer Rowbotham.

Survivors: sons, Noel (Charlotte) Rowbotham, Dale (Dee) Rowbotham, Don (Pat) Rowbotham; daughters, Mary (Leland) Bean, Nedra (Larry) Bacchus, all of Hagarville; 15 grandchildren and spouses; 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at Hagarville Church Of Christ. Burial will be at Hagarville Cemetery with Steve Leavell officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel.

Daisy Mae McCarley Rowbotham, 81, of Hagarville died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

She was a native of Johnson County, daughter of the late William Sanford and Ossie Belle Jones McCarley, graduate of Lamar High School, member of the Hagarville Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by four brothers, Pierce, Thomas (Buck), John Frank, and Joe McCarley.

Survivors include her husband, Ocil Rowbotham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Leland Bean of Lamar and Nedra and Larry Bacchus of Hagarville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Noel and Charlotte Rowbotham, Dale and Dee Rowbotham, and Don and Pat Rowbotham, all of Hagarville; one sister, Nannie Belle Hughes of Knoxville; one brother, Gayland McCarley of Russellville; 15 grandchildren, Greta Marlow, Cara Flinn, Andrea Little, Theron Rowbotham, Kim Burnett, Klay Rowbotham, Clint Bacchus, Larra Bacchus, and Chris Bacchus, all of Hagarville, Tagert Rowbotham of St. Louis, Mo., Dayla Weisler and Kirk Bean, both of Russellville, Danna Fudge of Dover, Tyler Bean of Louisville, Ky., and Kane Rowbotham of Sedalia, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the Hagarville Church of Christ with John Ballard officiating.

Burial will be in Hagarville Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
