Ronald F. Fulton of Lacrosse, son of the late Ivan and Maxine Bailey Fulton was born April 14, 1931 at Beloit, Wisconsin. He died November 19, 1997 at the Medical Cemetery of Calico Rock. He was 66.

Mr. Fulton was united in marriage to Shirley Spickler July 12, 1952 in Paragould. To this union four children were born. He was a veteran of Korean War and a member of the Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Cynthia Newman of Rockford, Illinois; Sandra Heckman of Dixon, Illinois and Pamela Sanders of Calico Rock; two sisters, Janice Streeter of California; and Lori Webster of Rockford, Illinois; two brothers, Donald Fulton of Wisconsin and Richard Fulton of Rockford, Illinois; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and two sisters.

Services were held November 22, 1997 at the Assembly of God Church in Dolph with Brother Wayne Wood officiating.

Pallbearers were Mark Heckman, Bob Newman, Terry Sanders, Mark Sanders, Casey Sanders and Jeremy Newman.

Interment was at Wayland Arbor Cemetery in Dolph under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Shirley May Spickler Fulton, daughter of the late Preston Spickler and Mildred Thurm Spickler, was born December 19, 1934 in Mount Morris, Illinois. She departed this life May 23, 2020 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 4 days.

She was united in marriage to Ronald Fay Fulton July 12, 1952 in Paragould, Arkansas and together they raised four children. Shirley spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Most of her working years were spent as a seamstress and as a waitress. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Sage Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by three daughters: Cindy Newman of Florida, Sandra Heckmen and husband Mark of Illinois and Pamela Clinkingbeard and husband Bruce of Calico Rock; two brothers: Orville Spickler (Barbara) of Texas and Everett Spickler (Charlotte) of Illinois; one sister: Lorraine Soltow (Paul) of Illinois; four grandchildren: Candice Koch (David), Stephanie Estock (Dan), Casey Sanders and Jeremy Newman; six great grandchildren: Colton Estock, River Estock, Payton Koch, Cameron Koch, Kye Koch, Rylen Koch and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son: Roger Fulton and one brother: Delbert Spickler.

Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, May 27 at 11:30 a.m. at Wayland Arbor Cemetery with Wayne Wood officiating. Arrangements by Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Pallbearers: Casey Sanders, Mark Heckmen, Bruce Clinkingbeard and Bill Nicolow.
