Phillip Sheridan Griggs husband of Ada L (Sanders) Griggs. Phillip Sheridan Griggs son of Andrew Jackson Griggs and Georgia Ann (Sullins) Griggs. Phillip was born in Elizabeth, Fulton County, Arkansas and died in St Louis, St Louis City, Missouri.

The White River Currant, Calico Rock, Arkansas, March 25, 1971:
Phillip S. Griggs, age 75 of West Alton, Mo., passed away in St. Louis on March 16. He was a native of this area.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ada Griggs of Mo.; one son, Ward Griggs of St. Louis; five daughters, Cliffie Sneed of Mt. Pleasant, Tressie Wood of Mt. Pleasant, Lessie Laymon of Granite City, Ill., Barbara Holland of Kennett, Mo., and Ada May Garrett of West Plains; one brother, Ed Griggs of Paragould; two sisters, Cloy Sanders of Dolph and Libby Simmons of Pineville; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were March 18, at Wayland Arbor with Bro. Price Lovelace officiating. Burial was in Wayland Arbor Cemetery by Howard Funeral Home.
Pallbearers included Orville Burlin, Kenneth, Bill, Oral and Coy Sanders.
