ROGERS — Anthony D. Moten of Rogers, Ark., passed away on Feb. 1, 2018. He was born on June 18, 1959, in Rogers, Ark., to John Moten and the late Jane Jennings. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Anthony Moten, lovingly known to his friends and family as "Tony", lived a rich and fulfilling life. Standing over 6 feet tall with a seemingly unmatched strength, Tony was a mountain of a man with the personality of a gentle giant. Despite his stature, Tony's, strength and size were outweighed only by his kindness, capacity for love and infectious smile. Tony's strength and stature led him to excel in numerous athletics including: football, boxing, judo, and wrestling. He also enjoyed playing in softball and basketball leagues. Tony was well known among his peers and was recognized for several awards.

He later directed his attention and strengths from athletics to family when he married the love of his life Donna Goodnight. Tony and Donna were married Sept. 12, 1981, shortly followed by the birth of their two daughters, Rachael and Kirby. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.

For nearly 30 years, Tony provided for his family while working for Door Tech and Quality Glass, as a Door Technician and Glazier. Throughout those years Tony established many close friends that he considered family. As life progressed Tony found joy and relaxation as a fisherman.

Alongside his lifelong friends, Tony could be found fishing at every opportunity, participating and winning in many tournaments. Tony's strength of mind, body and heart will forever live in the memories of all who have met him, and especially those who knew him as family, a loving husband, father and friend.

Tony is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Rachael Harris and husband Jeremy; daughter, Kirby Moten; father, John Moten; sisters, Johnelle Moten and Dana Jennings; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Pendergraft; brothers, Kevin Moten and wife Brandy, Shawn Moten, Chris Moten and wife Sandy, and Dusty Jennings and brother-in-law Larry Goodnight; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Jennings, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Tony's legacy will be honored in our heart forever and remembered by the birth of his first grandchild, Landon Anthony Harris, due July 2, 2018.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Rollins Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
