Halliette Anne Jones Guthrie, the daughter of Luther and Hallie Jones was born December 30, 1934 in Rison, Arkansas, and passed away at home June 29, 2019 in Mountain View, Arkansas at the age of 84 years.
Halliette was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed dancing, playing the piano and stand up bass, going to the Folk Center, and photography. She was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
Halliette is survived by her loving husband of 16 years William E. Guthrie, two children Clif Billings Jr. (Teresa) of Rison, Arkansas and Gala Davis (Bob) of Mountain View, Arkansas, three step-children Thomas Guthrie of Dallas Texas, Marlene Guthrie Springer of Mountain View, Arkansas, and Kelly Guthrie, of Fort Polk, Louisiana. She is also survived by one brother Donald (Brickshy) Jones (Sissie) of Mountain View, Arkansas, three grandchildren Lee Billings (Brittany) of Rison, Arkansas, Jamie Bostwick (Josh) of Rison, Arkansas, and Miles (Becca) Billings of Rison, Arkansas, five great-grandchildren Easton Billings, Bryleigh Billings, Tripp Bostwick, Holden Billings, and Lacey Billings, besides other relatives and many friends.
Halliette is preceded in death by her parents Luther E. Jones and Hallie Bates Jones, one son Tim Billings, and one brother John Bates Jones.
A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Mountain View Historical Cemetery beginning at 11:00 A.M. Brother Bryan Wilkie will officiate the service.
