When James Robert Lee Johnston was born on December 26, 1913, in Vina, Alabama, his father, William, was 21 and his mother, Mattie, was 21. He married MINNIE Gertrude McMillan on November 3, 1937, in Belmont, Mississippi. They had two children during their marriage. He died on March 31, 2008, in Helena, Arkansas, at the age of 94.
