Mrs. Myra Pauline (Sanford) Free, 89, of Conway, formerly of Bradford, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011.

She was born February 18, 1922 at Bradford, the daughter of Robert W. and Lillian (Lott) Sanford.

Mrs. Free was formerly a Nurse at Smith Hospital at Bradford, and was also a homemaker. She was a member of Bradford Baptist Church, and participated in the Women's Missionary Association. Mrs. Free was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and enjoyed gardening, flowers, quilting, and was a writer, publishing two books. She raised many a crop on the farm her greatest crop was her five children.

Mrs. Free was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Clifford Free; three brothers, Frank, Joe, and Robbie William Sanford; two sisters, Clara Long and Sally Jackson; and her parents.

She is survived by four sons, Howard Free and wife Dora of Lennon, Michigan, Tony Free of Bradford, Robbie Free and wife Janice of Bradford, and Don Free and wife Kim of Bradford; one daughter, Bonnie Free Teer and husband Louis of Conway; one brother, Johnny Sanford and wife Leythes of Bradford; one sister-in-law, Violet Sanford of Bradford; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at the Bradford Baptist Church with interment in Hickmon Cemetery.

Those honored to be pallbearers were: Authur Dunn, Rickey Dunn, Johnny Tims, John Richards, Troy Reed, Harvey Goad, Doug Snook, and Don McSpadden.
