Betty L. Russell, 67, of Ward, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Russell was born April 15, 1946 at Moro, Arkansas to the late Floyd Matthew Lawson and Mildred L. O'Neal Lawson.

She is survived by a daughter, Monica Cotton (Dennis) of Memphis, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jennifer Meredith, Danielle Cotton and Daniel Cotton; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Pearrow and Zayden Cotton; her mother, Mildred Lawson of Ward; a sister, Marie Johnson (Huey) of Fulton, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Lucky Mavity; sister-in-law, Ruth Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Walter Charles Russell; a granddaughter, Tiffany Lynn Meredith; two sisters, Mary Wooten and Hazel Mavity; and a brother, Floyd M. Lawson, Jr.

A graveside service for Betty L. Russell will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Park at West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Reverend Rodger Hooker will officiate.

Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
