Betty Ann Cheek, 64, of Bradford passed from this life July 19, 2020 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Bradford June 7, 1956 to the late Bob and Bertie Mae Lawson Hickmon.
She was a long-time member of the Order of The Eastern Star where she was a Rainbow Girl as a child and followed through with her duties to the point that she held several state offices with the Eastern Star organization. Betty loved to read, watch movies, travelling, and giving to other people. She was a member of Bradford Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, John Cheek (Kimberly); a granddaughter, Keera Cheek; siblings, Robert G. Hickmon (Erica), Charles Hickmon (Carrie), James Hickmon, and Barbara Greif; and many other relatives, friends, and other loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Bertie Mae Lawson Hickmon; her husband, Norman Cheek, and a sister, Mary Jane Hickmon.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bradford Volunteer Fire Department. P.O. Box 312 Bradford, Arkansas 72020.
Closed casket visitation will be 1pm Friday at the funeral home with the funeral service to follow at 2pm. Interment is in Hickmon Cemetery, Bradford, Arkansas.
