Mr. Billy D. Bryant of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the age of 80. He was born September 4, 1938 in Pitts, Arkansas, the son of William Hester Bryant and Mary Cornellia (Coward) Bryant Hurst.
Mr. Bryant was a United States Army veteran, and a member of Gospel Chapel Church in Jonesboro. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and stock car racing.
Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, and five sisters, Margie Wilbanks, Nora Emory, Chris Ponder, Mazilee Ray, and Juanita Ray.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Janet (Montgomery) Bryant of Tuckerman; two sons, Brent Bryant of Springdale, Arkansas, and Eric Bryant and wife, Jennifer, of Greenland, Arkansas; one brother, Gale Bryant and wife, Shirley, of Bradford; one sister, Doris Garner of Waldenburg; three grandchildren, Jami Bryant Echols, Carlie Bryant, and Teagan Bryant; and two great-grandchildren, Camrin and Marlie.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Tuesday, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Duane Catron and Bro. Ronald Metheny officiating. Interment will follow in Hickmon Cemetery.
