When Clyde Leslie Ekenseair was born on July 11, 1913, in Arkansas, his father, Michael, was 46 and his mother, Lennis, was 32. He married Edna Louise Staggs on September 17, 1938, in Phillips, Arkansas. They had one child during their marriage. He died in September 1983 in West Helena, Arkansas, at the age of 70.
